What you do....matters

I'm gonna be honest here...I've had a horribly hard week. Ryan has been out of town and I have had a hard time holding down the fort this week. Today, Madi was out of control. That girl can go from total sweetheart to totally insane in a matter of seconds. It's hard to understand sometimes what is the 'Autism' speaking and what is an 8 year old girls attitude speaking.

Today, I broke down. They are finally in bed, at 9:36 pm after struggling with Hudson 3 times, Jaxon crying himself to sleep, and Madi fighting with me for 1/2 hour to go to sleep. Tough. I know that many people have it harder than me...no doubt about it...but this week...was hard.

Then, I saw this video online and I just cried. Still crying...hence the overly emotional and personal post tonight. Watch it...the message is so wonderful!

On a positive note, I'm taking the day to create with my friend Amy tomorrow and it couldn't come a minute too soon. So ready!

And...I've been working on a super cute project to share on Monday. I think it's darling...if it's okay to say that. It also has a kit that I will have up for sale on Monday - so check back. I'll be back to my good ol' self by then! Happy Weekend!

so sorry you've had a rough week robyn. i know how hard it can be, when we're the only ones there for the kids ... for that many days in a row. it takes a toll on us, and that's usually when everyone starts losing it ... like they know we're on the verge of a meltdown, so they give us even more trouble to deal with. lol! things can only get better, though ... right ;)

enjoy your day tomorrow! and can't wait to see what you have for us next week!

what a stunning montage of images ... it sounds as though it's beauty was exactly was you needed. It's a funny thing about kids ... it's as though they know when you're at your most vulnerable because they they're at their worst. I can't wait to hear about your secret project ... I love secret projects.

The video was amazing. Those "Shutter Sisters" are compelling with their photography. The words made the photos dance.

We all have these moments. They can overwhelm you at times. But it is these moments that are so hard that make us realize how important we are to our children. Have a great weekend and create!

I hope your next week is much better--you are a wonderful mom, and these weeks just happen, they're a part of life.

I know how you must feel, I have a daughter with ADHD and we've had many, many rough days. It can be frustrating and tiring! Hang in there and hope that you have a better day tomorrow. I loved the video!
