Happy Halloween & Home Decor Projects!

Happy Halloween friends! I hope that you all have a fun day!! I wanted to share a few decor items I made for my home and that we also used at my Mom's Halloween party this year. In my entryway, I have a little niche in the wall so I displayed these pieces there.
I cut out this design with my Silhouette machine:
in black cardstock and adhered it to the 'b' side of the 'Festive Brocade' paper from the Tinsel & Twig line from Girls Paperie. The little cream dots of the green background - love!! I think it worked good for Halloween so I used it on my project. I also cut out some bats from a Halloween paper (from Girls Paperie too) and sewed them onto the paper.

The smaller pedestal cream frame is from Ikea (I think for only .99!) and I cut a piece of 'Ghost Story' patterned paper for the background and then layered it with embellishments from the Toil & Trouble line. Those crepe paper embellishments are amazing!!! Everyone keeps asking if I made them! :) The only bad thing - I don't want to take them down! I need them for every season I think! So cute!
I also stuck a vintage 'p' flash card with a pumpkin on it into a vintage floral frog to finish it off. The numbers '31' in the vase are some vintage hymnal numbers. I also made a simple circle banner with punched circles from vintage dictionaries. I sewed them together with my sewing machine and then added some more of the Girls Paperie crepe embellishments to the front and back of some of the circles. Sorry for the horrible photo - but hopefully you get the general idea.

On Saturday, we carved our pumpkins and made some  Halloween treats. For my pumpkins, I took some Chalkboard spray paint and gave them a good spray and let them dry. I then wrote on them with a white chalkboard marker and set them up by our front door. Fun and easy! The kids used some templates that I cut out with my Silhouette machine and we carved a bat, cat and some traditional jack-o-lantern faces on them. For the skull pumpkin, I just lightly adhered the mask to the pumpkin and then gave it spray with black spray paint.
I also made some fun Halloween ornaments that we hung on some of my Mom's decor at the Halloween party - but for some reason - I can't find the pictures on my computer. Spooky! Just kidding! I'll have to take new photos of them and get them up - even though it will be after Halloween. So, there is some of my Halloween decor for ya. We did the trick-or-treating last night so we've just been hanging out together as a family today. Always a good thing! Have a great Halloween!

Oh Robyn I love, love all of your projects! Thanks for showing all your pumpkins, love seeing the different takes on them. And I'm running to Michaels tomorrow to get some fake pumpkins on clearance so I can spray paint them! Such a great idea!
