Asking for your prayers today...

I have been a bad blogger this summer! Summer has been kicking my butt! :) My hubby has been traveling every week so I have felt like a single parent. Add to that the kids being home every day, me trying to stay sane, and Jaxon received a new diagnosis and we've had to up his therapy sessions to 3 times a week...so running all around town as well. I have so much to share and I hope to get back into the swing of things asap!

But today, I am writing to ask for your prayers and I hope that you'll take a moment to say one...or two...for my sweet sister and her new baby Paxton. During her first ultrasound, they found out that something wasn't right with her little baby. They later learned that he was missing a chromosome and would be born mentally and physically handicapped. There have only been 15 cases the Dr.'s have found that have been similar to this case...yet, none of them exactly the same as their baby Paxton.

As we were driving to California on Tuesday for a family vacation, I received a text that she went to her regular Dr. appt. and that the baby wasn't breathing well and that they were doing a c-section within the hour. She is 5 weeks early. Baby Paxton was born and has been struggling ever since.

He is only 3 lbs. and the main concern right now, is that he is struggling to breathe. It may be a part of his genetic anomoly that his brain doesn't know how to get the body to breathe...but if it doesn't get better, they will have to perform a tracheotomy which might be permanent. They are also doing tests on his brain, heart and everything else today so they could use all the prayers in the world right now.

His name is 'Paxton,' which means peace. Which is what we are all hoping for him right now...some peace to breathe, to live, to be able to fight all that is coming his way. And for my sister, her husband, and her two little boys that are at home and anxious to meet their little brother.

It would mean the world to me. It is hard being here in California when they are going through all this.

I will be back to posting soon. I hope someone still reads this! :) So much to share and so many things I want to do with this blog - it makes me sad that I haven't been able to focus on it like I wanted to when I started it. That is going to change though!

Please pray for Paxton! Thank you!
